been busy lately and didn't really had the time to update you guys:)however, i've read some of the chapters in 'THE ORIGINAL BEAUTY BIBLE' and found this, which is quite true to follow and your skin will tend to be more 'obedient' at times. it's actually called '10 beauty commandments everyone should know' by PAULA BEGOUN
1. THOU SHALT NOT believe expensive cosmetics are better than inexpensive cosmetics
2. THOU SHALT NOT believe there is any such thing as a natural cosmetics(or that natural means better)
3. THOU SHALT NOT believe in miracle ingredients that can cure skin care woes
4. THOU SHALT NOT covet thy neighbour's perfect skin (or believe her perfect skin came from a particular product or cosmetics line, skin is much more complicated than that)
5. THOU SHALT NOT believe everything a cosmetics salesperson tells you
6. THOU SHALT NOT believe in the existence of anti-wrinkle, firming, toning, lifting, or filling-in creams , lotions, or masks that can permanently erase wrinkles
7. THOU SHALT NOT be seduced by every new promotions, new products, or new line that the cosmetics industry creates
8. THOU SHALT NOT get a tan. SUN IS YOUR ENEMY!!! not your friend, it is the primary reason that skin wrinkles, and develops skin cancer (and it isn't just about getting sunburns and all, turning skin brown is equally as damaging when done on a regular basis)
9. THOU SHALT NOT buy a cellulite cream. nor shalt thou assume it's possible to dissolve fats from outside in, because you absolutely cannot! if these products works, who would have cellulites?
10. THOU SHALT NOT see pictures of pubescent, anorexic models (who spends 2 hours getting their hair and make up done and another 2 hours posing while the photographer and a corps of assitants determine the most flattering lighting, after which the result picture goes to a battery of digitally enhanced touch ups and adjustments) and believe you will get the same (or even similar) results from using the products being advertised. that is, unless you happen to be pubescent, anorexic, and a model and can somehow stay in the right lighting all the time.
well, some of the things is totally true. especially 5,7,8,9,10. talking about number 6, mark there, CANNOT PERMANENTLY ERASE wrinkles. thus, do use those things AS preventions. most of people asks me, when can i use anti-wrinkle creams? or those anti wrinkles are for women aged 50s and above right? well, as for me, i start to use anti-wrinkles, or at least age-delay serums at the age of 25. reason being is that i do feel the difference between being 'early 20s' and 'late 20s'. my skin texture changes. i even feels my face changes. so, to delay any further changes on the skin textures and all, i uses all those 'anti-wrinkle creams meant for women over 50s'. bear in mind that you cannot erase any wrinkles that is on your face. but you do can prevent further damage.
ohya!!! and also a reminder AGAIN!!!! that bad sunrays does COMES IN THROUGH WINDOWS!!!! so unless you have all the 4 walls and NO WINDOWS house, you should use sunscreen at any point of time INSIDE THE HOUSE!!!!
and about number 4, just to tell you that this is true, especially if you don't know how the person lead her life. i mean the way she exercises, eats, and sleeps, or even works, does affects how her skin looks like!
and number 3. noted "NO MIRACLE INGREDIENTS" that works! but some ingredients does works their ways out! this is just a warning to bear in mind that, don't expect too much from a products to work immediately, especially as what is promised in the advertisements, within 10 days, or 2 weeks, or maybe a month. it's impossible to do that, except it's all depends on how you lead your life, again, it's your way of taking care of your skin, your way of eating good healthy food, and the way you stressing your skin, by exposing it too much to the sun, and sleepless nights and all. so do bear that in mind!
now, number 1 and 2, is especially true, when some people are only using products from 1 cosmetics' brands. well, for me, it doesn't work that way. i use different brands for different uses. and everybody is questioning that. i uses different brands, as i do believe that some brands only good at certain things. some people don't think so, they believe too much on advertisements (whereas for me, since i came from marketing background, so i don't believe those at all)... you know, some brands like maybelline, it has terrific mascaras, but terrible foundations. it does have 'ok' concealor though. brands like 'dior' are especially good with their lipglosses, and i'm in love with it, but i don't really like their 'eyeshadows'. so well, this is just a thought for you girls to think about. just for your information, i lists here for the skincare regime i uses!
