Wedding Planner in progress
for one reason i started to think about being a wedding planner. One person said that it was seen within my soul... that i can become a good wedding planner. frankly speaking never come across my mind to become one before...
until something stuck on me on my own wedding day. maybe because i was a perfectionist. wanted something that is different from a normal wedding i have seen many times... even maybe hundreds and thousands of times in my life before i got married.... most of the time, i was offered a wedding organizer instead of a wedding planner... what's the difference anyway?
to tell you the truth, i didn't even recognized it at once... but one thing, wedding organizer mostly only hold a technical meeting, maybe a month, or a week before the actual day started, and then, help the bride and groom to make sure everything goes well on that day... if in any case, anything crop up in that particular day, that wedding organizer will be the one who handle it... the negative is, coz it was not the WO who planned and dealt with everything, and every vendors, they are not familiar with the terms and conditions agreed in the first place between the bride groom and the vendors, as the results, when any vendors slack on their works, the WO doesn't even realized it... whereas for a wedding planner... they planned for it, they make the concepts according to the likes, needs, wants and hobbies of the couple... and they find vendors according to it... fit everything into the couple's budget... and voila... there it was... a nicely planned wedding... with all the concepts and all:)
met a few wedding planners too here in jakarta... had them handled my own wedding... but somehow, i just can't get the idea running and all... so i told my dearest hubby... and maybe... it was then, the call came... to become one of the distinguished extraordinary wedding planner...
someone who can help to draw up a unique concepts... to make sure that the couple's wedding was one of a kind... to draw up a budget planning for the couple, so as for the couple to save as much as possible for their houses, their new families, and all... to make a simple concepts into a fun, nice, luxurious, glamorous wedding...
if anyone of you ever realized, most men, who of course, tried as much as possible to pay for their own wedding (except for those who already inheritate the luxurious will from their grandparents or parents of course... )which means, tight budget is on the line...
whereas for women... coz we are more emotional... more sensitive in the heart in the sense... we will deffinitely thought of the wedding as our once-in-a-lifetime chance... one which may not be able to come twice in our lives... especially in Asia... for those who are still holding on to the traditions strongly. this is one of the reasons why most women wanted the wedding as one of a kind... as special as anyone may come across... and most of them, put very much weight to the little details they can hold on to... but somehow, those little details... are the ones that boost the budget up and up and up if you ever realized it...
as in for me... i was thinking of becoming the one person to come between the both of them. the one who can fit in all the details women wanted to into all the men's budget... and hopefully, they will live happily ever after...

reasons for Ujung Genteng
reasons why we chose this place was because some of those photographers would love to do bulb photography.. whereas for me... i don't understand these terms though:) from what i catch was that they wanna take photos in the mid night with just the moonlight from the sky. i can imagine it very extremely beautiful... let me see if i can get the photos from the photographers to show you all here!!
this is also the reason why they wanna go on 17th of this month... in chinese moon calender, 17th was the REAL BIG full moon... the mid month that most of the Buddhist will choose to be vegetarians as a gift to the moon...
and then... they came up with the idea why not we bring together a make up artist and a model to play with in the daylight... since they don't have much to do on the daylight... and so... here i am, being called and had a meeting, and then, we worked together...:)
have yet to see the results though... will tell you more about the journey tomorrow:)

Preps for Ujung Genteng
had this very sudden portfolio-for-fun turned-BIG-sponsored-event coming up for the whole last week. went to meet the PIC on saturday (12 july), had a meeting, saw the place they had surveyed, and come up with the concepts and all... very nice... loved it alot...
1. the place with the mosh all over the place, and we came up with the idea of the talent coming out from inside the mosh, as part of the mosh itself as the queen of the mosh, the goddess who lives there forever. so the body of the talent will be covered by the real mosh, with some skin revealed here and there... but the parts of the skin that is revealed will be made up super unhumanly shimmer to show the talent as the goddess of the place...
2. with all the sea rocks and almost-vanished seaport, we came up with this idea of something over-the-top concepts. very high fashioned.
and so, we went to the costume-rental place to get all those little things. and we althered here and there just to get the touch right!
we found:
1. very extravaganza carnaval style shiny outstanding red skirt!
2. bustier with ballooned skirt with feathers all over it... we called it 'chick dress'
3. indiana jones cherokee style hat and top to mix and match with the shoes and all:)
in the end, it was a hectic preparation both for me, and the photographer, and the event manager...
preparing for the accessories, finding the suitable model was a deffinitely very difficult challenge.. as in we were competing with the la salle end-of-the-year fashion show... hundreds of models were booked by them... and so.. we've only got the left-overs... but in the end, we settled with one...
and so we went to the ujung genteng on the thursday, 17 july...

Fruits for your beauty

1. Passion of Manggis
Pure Indonesian breed, was used traditionally for curing skin infections and wounds. another reasons to find this fruit is that it slows down aging process. very good to keep your skin away from wrinkles.

2. Cucumber
rich of water, very good to hidrate your skin as well as repair skin structures and iritations. it soothes your skin and your puffy eyes too.

3. Mango delite
besides being the sweetest of fruits, it contains glutaminic acid that can effectively open up your pores and clean it up. besides, it also helps to concentrate and strengthens your memories.

4. Peach
it was the symbol of fertility in the egyptian time. it contains keratinocyte that can help to grow the skin epidermis, results in long lasting supple and soft skin.

5. Tomatoes
its lycopene high in anti-oxidants helps to repair the sun damage effects on skin. it also boosts radiance and keep the skin supple and fresh.

6. Papayas
this unique not-so-popular fruit is actually very helpful to the skin. its enzimes will help to soften the skin textures and slow down its aging process.

all of these useful fruits can be used as scrubs or masks for your skin. many recipes will be coming up!
if you can't wait any longer to give it a try, just blend those fruits and use it as masks for 30 minutes and rinse off.

DIY Spa
after a tiring day in this city of Jakarta, i'm sure you'll need some relaxation to boost your energy to be ready-to-go by the next day. when you don't have the time to go to the REAL SPA, here are some DIY SPA recipes. Enjoy!!!

1. Shiny hair treatment
before you wash your hair, apply LIGHT OLIVE OIL to your scalp. leave for 20 to 60 minutes, and wash your hair as per normally. VOILA! silky shiny hair is yours!

2. Tired eyes
Drink your favorite camomile tea, and don't throw away the teabags! put it on your puffy eyes for 30 minutes! Experience the soothing effects.

3. Relax your muscles
put 4 to 5 spoonful of green tea leaves to a pail of boiling water (ideally 4 glasses of water). leave for 10 minutes. you can saperate the tea leaves or don't, and mix the tea water into bathtub. you can add some jasmine essential oil, or jasmine petals for fun. to double the fun, the green tea is not just high in its anti-oxidant and boost your immune system, but it also helps to minimize your pores and keep your skin smooth and away from mosquito bites.

4. Smooth skin
mix blended avocado and 1 spoonful of honey, 1 tea spoonful of uncooked rice, and 10 drops of baby oil. apply the mixture to your hands and feet and leave for 20 to 30 minutes before bathing as usual. don't forget to massage in circular motion before washing it off. it is really effective for softening the elbows, and knees with scars and all. go ahead and try!
